The Ritz in chocolate
Happy Birthday to The Ritz.
To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of The Ritz Hotel, Elliotts of Oxford built a truly amazing scale model of the hotel.
Weighing in at 60 kilos of milk, white, and dark chocolate, the model’s dimensions are 1.25m long x 0.75m wide x 0.75m deep and for a three month period, in 2006, graced the lobby of the hotel’s restaurant in a purpose built glass cabinet.
After that, this chocolate masterpiece was auctioned to the highest bidder with the proceeds being donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Appeal.
